Focus: Alphabet, pronunciation, greetings, introducing oneself (name, nationality, profession), numbers 0-10, determinative/indeterminative articles.
Activities: Short dialogues, role plays.
Lesson 4-6: Daily life (at the bar and restaurant)
A coffee at the bar, a journey into Italian flavors.
Focus: Asking for and ordering food/drinks, expressing preferences, asking for the bill. Common verbs (be, have, do, go, want).
Activity: Ordering simulations, listening to short dialogues.
Lesson 7-8: Italian-style shopping (colors and clothing)
Italian style: colors, clothing and small purchases.
Focus: Colors, describing clothing, asking price, expressing quantity. Qualifying adjectives.
Activity: Description of pictures, dialogues in a store.
Lesson 9-10: Numbers and time (getting organized in Italy)
Numbers, days and months: finding your way around the Italian calendar.
Focus: numbers 11-100, days of the week, months, seasons, the clock. Prepositions of time.
Activities: arranging appointments, talking about routine.
Lesson 11-12: First Cultural Emotions (brief descriptions of art)
First encounters with Art: describing a simple painting.
Focus: Basic vocabulary to describe an image (painting, statue): large, small, beautiful, ancient, modern. Possessive adjectives.
Activity: Guided observation and description of images of iconic and simple works of art (e.g., the Mona Lisa, the Colosseum).
Lesson 13-14: Preparing for the Show (Theater and Tickets)
Theater. Booking tickets and talking about a performance.
Focus: Vocabulary specific to theater (ticket, seat, show, actor, director). Questions and answers about “what” and “when”. Verbs in the simple present and near past tense.
Activity: Simulation of phone calls to book, dialogues on show preferences.
Lesson 15-16: Telling Simple Stories (movie scenes)
CIACK, it’s on! Telling the scene of a film.
Focus: Basic film vocabulary (movie, scene, actor, plot). Action verbs in the present and near past tense. Simple adverbs of manner.
Activity: Watch a short scene from a simple Italian movie and describe what happens.
Lesson 17-18: Your hobbies and interests (music and Simple Lyric)
Music and Opera: talk about your passions.
Focus: Vocabulary of hobbies and leisure. Basic vocabulary of opera (singer, opera, aria). Verbs of opinion (like, love).
Activity: Introduce hobbies, listen to short excerpts of famous arias, and describe emotions.
Lesson 19-20: Make plans and review (The future and review)
Future plans and review: what we will do together in Italy.
Focus: Simple future to talk about projects, review of key structures of A1 level.
Activities: Future projects related to travel or cultural interests, general review with games and quizzes.
